Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for your interest in the products and services of General Servo & Spindle Motors, Inc.  This Limited Warranty applies to sales and services provided by General Servo & Spindle Motors, Inc.

What does this limited warranty cover?

This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the One Year Warranty Period. During the Warranty Period, General Servo & Spindle Motors, Inc. will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance.

What will we do to correct problems?

General Servo & Spindle Motors, Inc. will either repair the Product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts. We will cover any parts and labor rendered at the time of repair service. If the unit was an outright sale, we will conduct a warranty evaluation to see the cause of failure and repair the unit or send a replacement unit.

How long does the coverage last?

The Warranty Period for Repairs and Sales from General Servo & Spindle Motors, Inc. is One Year from the date of purchase.

What does this limited warranty not cover?

This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by:

  • Any contamination or environmental issues that are causing failure are not covered under warranty.
  • Conditions, malfunctions, or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship. This includes any consequential damages, losses, or expenses occurring from installation or use, regardless of advice or recommendations that have been rendered concerning such installation or the use of the products.

What do you have to do?

To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.

How long will General Servo & Spindle Motors, Inc. keep quoted repairs at our facility?

Upon receiving a quote for repair, we will hold the unit for 90 days. After the 90 days, we will send an email and phone call to the contact information, requesting if the unit should be returned unrepaired, repaired, or scrapped at General Servo. If there is no response after one week, the unit will be scrapped at our facility.

For return of sales or cancelled orders

General Servo does allow returns 30 days after purchase for defective or non-defective items. Please be aware that General Servo & Spindle Motors, Inc. will charge a 20% restocking fee for sale products. We do offer exchanges and can quote you for a core exchange for a sale.

General Servo provides quality and precise servo motor and spindle motor repairs to almost all of the industry’s motor manufacturer.

Our repair capabilities consisting of AC/DC servo motors, AC/DC spindle motors, high speed spindles and stepper motors as well. Where possible, upgrades such as waterproofing and winding encapsulation can be performed.
